While you are assigning the documents to your client, you need to specify whether you want your client to sign either in a static format or in a dynamic format. In the static format, your client needs to provide scanned signature copies whereas, in the dynamic, your client has to sign using a touchpad or mobile device. Whenever your client provides signatures using a static or dynamic method, the system takes the current user’s signatures and compares them against the stored templates in the database. Based on similarity score which is a customizable factor, the user’s signatures can be authenticated or rejected. Once the user’s signatures’ are successfully authenticated, then the signing process gets completed.

In the static-based signature verification method, the system then compares the x & y ratios, signature angles, etc. whereas in the dynamic verification, the system compares the velocity, pressure, pen up’s and down’s, etc. and almost 13 unique characteristics for the authentication of the current user’s signature with pre-enrolled templates in the database.

Once the authentication is performed successfully, then the system automatically selects the best-scored user’s signatures and stores them as templates in the database. This process is called as gradual enrollment.
